Reminder Regarding Ninth Annual Pro Bono and Public Service Awards Ceremony

Monday, September 19, 2022

On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 4:30 p.m., the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts will hold the Ninth Annual Pro Bono and Public Service Awards Ceremony. The event will acknowledge and thank those individual attorneys and law students who have demonstrated a commitment to pro bono legal work and public service. We will also highlight clients who have benefitted from pro bono representation.  The event will be held by video, with an invitation sent to all ECF users on Monday, October 10, 2022.

The event will acknowledge attorneys and law students who are eligible for the Pro Bono and Public Service Honor Roll for providing pro bono services or participating in certain public service programs during the period of September 1, 2020, to September 1, 2022. To be acknowledged, attorneys must certify that they have met the specific criteria established by the Court’s Pro Bono Legal Services Advisory Committee.  Law students who have met the criteria may submit a certification, along with the acknowledgement of the attorney supervisor. Participation is entirely voluntary. Certifications should be sent to probono@mab.uscourts.gov. by September 30, 2022, for an individual to be recognized at the event. Those individuals who complete a certification will also receive a certificate of appreciation and will be listed on the Pro Bono and Public Service Honor Roll on the Bankruptcy Court’s website.
