October 24th Free Educational Program Regarding New Form Ch. 13 Plan and Rules Changes

On Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 11:00 A.M.-12:30 P.M. at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Courtroom 3, 595 Main Street, Worcester, MA, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the WCBA's Bankruptcy Section will hold a free educational program to walk through the District of Massachusetts' new form Chapter 13 Plan and discuss significant changes to the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and Local Bankruptcy Rules that will impact Chapter 13 practice starting on December 1st. The panelists for October 24th program are: the Hon. Elizabeth D. Katz, the Hon. Christopher J. Panos, Denise Pappalardo, Ch. 13 Trustee, David R. Chenelle, Esq., and Wendy M. Mead, Esq. Attorneys are encouraged to bring their paralegals and other support staff to this free program. To ensure sufficient materials are available, attendees are also encouraged, but not required, to RSVP to rsvp_worc@mab.uscourts.gov by Friday, October 20, 2017.

Please note that programs regarding the changes effective on December 1st will also be held in the Western and Eastern Divisions. The Massachusetts Bar Association will hold its 16th Annual Western Mass. Bankruptcy Symposium at Western New England University School of Law (fee and registration required) on November 7, 2017. The Court, in conjunction with the Boston Bar Association, will hold a free program at the McCormack Building on November 30, 2017. Further details regarding the Boston program will be sent at a later date.
