Chief Judge Jeffrey R. Howard of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit  announced today that Judge Joan N. Feeney, who has served as a judge for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts since 1992,  will retire effective May 17, 2019.  He also announced the formation of a Bankruptcy Merit Selection Panel to screen and review applicants for the resulting bankruptcy judgeship vacancy in Boston, MA.  The announcement can be viewed here:  http://www.ca1.uscourts.gov/news/judge-joan-n-feeney-retire-bankruptcy-merit-selection-panel-appointed.  The announcement has instructions regarding obtaining an application for the position.
