On May 21, 2012 Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company filed petition for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York (Case Number 12-12171). On June 29, 2012, this case was transferred to the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts and assigned Case Number 12-15610.
